Empowered Ventures is delighted to add leading attorney and ESOP advisor, Sean-Tamba Matthew, to our board of directors. Sean is a shareholder for Stevens & Lee, a law firm based primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region, and its SES ESOP Strategies affiliate. His considerable skillset compliments our board and will add great expertise in areas including transactions, corporate governance, and ESOP administration.
A trusted advisor on a range of employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) design and implementation matters, Sean is also a sought-after guest speaker on ESOP topics and will bring these experiences to the strategic and long-term oversight commitments of our board.
Sean’s responsibilities with Stevens & Lee and SES ESOP Strategies include advising companies, business owners, boards of directors, and ESOP trustees on matters related to ESOPs. His experience also includes serving as a Temple University adjunct professor, Business Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association leadership council member, employee-owned Talley Management Group advisory board member, and ESOP Association Public Policy Council executive committee member.
